County Longford Residents Prior to the Famine: A Transcription and Complete Index of the Tithe Applotment Books of County Longford, Ireland (1823–1835)
County Longford Residents Prior to the Famine ...
2004 Guy A Rymsza, Part I: Full Name Index of the over 12,600 male and female tithe payers, with landlords, lessors, and tenants. Lists surname, given name, civil parish and townland location. Part II: Recapitulation of the Tithe Payer Records, arranged alphabetically by townland, and presented in the same order as the original records. Standardised names of over 930 townlands, many appearing later in Griffiths Primary Valuation, are cross-referenced with their local names, used in the Tithe Books, which have been obscured over the centuries. As an index of these townlands, the Recapitulation makes the final section of Civil Parish Maps navigable. Part III: 27 Civil Parish Maps showing townlands, with 3 maps of County Longfords major land divisions. Detailed maps in an exclusive format supply the geographic information necessary to analyze, hypothesise and draw conclusions about the identities of tithe payers. Possible locations are presented for townlands that have for decades been unassociated with geographic locations, based on correlation studies between the Tithe Applotment Survey and Griffiths Primary Valuation, and multiple map sources searchable Adobe PDF format for PC platform
